casper alternative

Casper mattresses have given us the luxury of sound sleep for many years now. Sadly, the brand is ceasing trade in the UK and focusing its efforts in the US. Well, lucky Americans! However, you have nothing to worry about, because I have a list of some of the best Casper mattress alternatives.

Table of Contents

Best Alternative : Nectar Mattress

Pricing Range:
Nectar- $314 – $649
Casper – No longer available

  • 365-day trial
  • Affordable pricing
  • Lifetime warranty

When it comes to the best Casper mattress alternative, Nectar mattresses top the list. The Nectar mattress is my favourite pick because it is affordable and comes with a 365-night trial period! I didn’t need to wait that long since I loved it, after sleeping on it for just three days. Some of the pros and cons of the Nectar mattress are:

Pros

  • It is medium-firm and features four layers of all-foam construction.
  • It measures 6 out of 10 on the firmness scale.
  • The foam quickly adapts to your body shape and is great for side-sleepers.
  • There is no transfer of movement with this mattress.
  • The mattress cover is made of Tencel, which allows more air circulation and makes it breathable.
  • It comes with a 365-night trial period and a lifetime warranty.
  • The price is extremely affordable and even comes with two free pillows.
  • The mattress comes with free shipping and returns.

Cons

  • It may not be a good pick for front-sleepers or heavyweight persons.
  • The mattress has limited bounciness.
  • The mattress may feel too firm for lightweight persons.

Closest Match : Emma Mattress

Pricing Range:
Emma – $319 – $679
Casper – No longer available

  • Excellent pressure relief
  • Most awards in Europe
  • Zoned support

One of the reasons I like the Emma mattress is the spine support it provides. The defining features of the Emma make sure that they provide maximum spine support regardless of your sleeping position. Some of its pros and cons are:

Pros

  • It features three distinct layers of foam- airgocell on top, memory foam in between, and dense polyfoam as the base.
  • The combination of the three layers gives you deep pressure- relief, and body-contouring.
  • The cover is made of polyester, making it breathable and washable.
  • The mattress has zoned support sections that balance the softness of the mattress with structure.
  • It comes with a 100-night trial period and ten years warranty.
  • There is minimal pressure on the shoulders and hip.

Cons

  • It may not work well for stomach-sleepers, as it can be very soft.
  • Overweight individuals may experience sinking.

Best Value : Noa Mattress

Pricing Range:
Noa – $349 – $549
Casper – No longer available

  • Hybrid bed
  • Very affordable
  • High-quality materials

Another excellent Casper mattress alternative is the Noa mattress. My girlfriend and I especially loved this mattress because of its versatility. I am a back-sleeper, while she sleeps on her side. The Noa mattress worked great for both of us. Some of its pros and cons are:

Pros

  • It features the use of all eco-friendly materials, making it a good choice for sensitive people.
  • The mattress features different layers of premium latex, gel-infused memory foam, and adaptive transition foam.
  • These layers combine to deliver well-balanced comfort to all sleeping positions.
  • A hand-tufted Tencel fabric forms the top-most layer giving you an incredibly comfortable and soft sleeping experience.
  • The pocket sprung layer on the base drastically reduces the transfer of movement.
  • Its perimeter is made of a 9 cm layer of high-density foam. It provides good edge support.
  • It comes with convenient side handles for ease of portability.
  • Noa mattress comes with a 100-night trial and 15 years of the warranty period.

Cons

  • The mattress cover is non-removable.
  • It can be quite heavy to lift around.

Best Bounce : OTTY Mattress

Pricing Range:
OTTY – $299 – $599
Casper – No longer available

  • Hybrid bed
  • Affordable
  • Bouncy bed

If you are looking for a medium-firm mattress with hypoallergenic properties, then the OTTY mattress is a good pick. It is a hybrid mattress with a firmness level of 7 on a scale of 10. Some of its pros and cons are:

Pros

  • OTTY mattress features a cool blue gel memory foam on top, a transition foam, and an encapsulated pocket springs layer.
  • The top memory foam layer has infused gel beads. These beads provide breathability and durability.
  • The encapsulated pocket springs provide good bounce and support to the mattress.
  • It is an ideal choice for someone looking for bounciness.
  • It is a hybrid mattress that provides extra push back.
  • The mattress cover is washable, resistant to wrinkles, and shrinkage.
  • It comes with a 100-night trial period and 10 years warranty.

Cons

  • The only drawback here is the absence of side handles
  • It may be too firm for some

Best Responsiveness : Simba Mattress

Pricing Range:
Simba – $650 – $1100
Casper – No longer available

  • UK made
  • 2,500 micro pocket springs
  • 200-night trial

Simba mattress is another great alternative in the UK market. It’s a hybrid mattress that comes with a combination of memory foam and springs. I loved sleeping on this mattress because it doesn’t give sweaty nights at all. The mattress features the softness of memory foam without the heat or sinking experienced in memory foams. Some of its pros and cons are:

Pros

  • It features a layer of synthetic latex, memory foam, and a unique patented spring-comfort layer.
  • The springs used here are smaller in size than pocket springs, making the mattress more stable and elastic.
  • It measures 6.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale. You can say it is between medium to medium-firm.
  • There is no transfer of motion with this mattress. This is one reason I loved it since my husband is a restless sleeper.
  • It also comes with an incredibly long 200-night trial period and 10 years of warranty.

Cons

  • The delivery service may not be very quick

Most Customisations : Tweak Mattress

Pricing Range:
Tweak – $595 – $1,095
Casper – No longer available

  • Hybrid bed
  • Customise the firmness
  • Made in the UK

Tweak mattress is the ultimate Casper mattress alternative for couples. From the comfort level to noise, there is no compromise when you share your tweak mattress with your partner. Tweak mattresses were designed, keeping in mind the problems faced by couples sharing a bed.  Some of its pros and cons are:

Pros

  • The mattress is made of three separate layers- a poly foam, custom made reflex middle layer, and pocket sprung.
  • The top poly foam layer features a cooling technology to keep your body cool. It really worked for my husband, who experiences sweaty nights.
  • The middle layer is customizable according to your needs. You can choose the reflex dual comfort material to be soft, medium, or firm.
  • The base pocket springs layer provides support and reduces motion transfer.
  • The cover is quilted and is made of soft cotton. It is hypoallergenic and is washable.
  • It comes with a 100-night trial period and 10 years warranty.

Cons

  • It can be a little expensive as compared to others.

Conclusion

There are many types of mattresses available today. As mentioned above, the type of mattress you choose will depend on personal preference. All the six different mattresses in this review delivered really good sleeping experiences.

However, the winner out of all will be the Nectar mattress. One of the first reasons is because of the affordability of the mattress. The four layers of foam construction give great stability and support for side-sleepers like me. However, surprisingly, I enjoyed sleeping on this mattress and I’m back-sleeper,

The no-motion transfer of this mattress really stood. You also get a 365-night trial period, which can’t be found in other mattress brands. Therefore, the Nectar mattress is a great buy if you want comfort and durability with affordability.
